The clothes are functional and very long lasting....a bit on pricey side. The sales have some really good discounts. Staff are always great.
Excellent service from very helpful staff. Good quality.

Love this store. Well stocked and the shop assistants I have dealt with know their stuff! Great prices too :-)
There is a good range of products available, from reasonable to more expensive, and with room for quite a few erected tents, it is easy to make a choice, and of course there is a discount card, it is a bit of a walk from the centre, but then it is a large store!

Excellent store a good all round stock. Staff are especially friendly and helpful, really stands out in that regard. Good range of clothing and equipment to suit all levels. Store is well laid out with plenty of room to browse. Situated on Deansgate not far from St Ann's Square and next to House of Fraser. Price wise it's not bad and there are always bargains to be had. Highly recommended
Good selection of out door equipment and clothing. Good amount of sale in all sizes not just L&XL. Staff helpful and knowledgeable.

Had the boots l wanted at a good price and the assistant was cheerful and helpful.
Blacks has a good selection of brands. The higher end brands are quite expensive so best bought in the sales or click and collect online. The other brands are ok and cheap and cheerful. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Although sometimes there aren't enough staff downstairs when it's busy.

This is my go-to shop in Manchester for hiking and general outdoors-type stuff. Yes, they have a good range of high quality merchandise, but the main reason I go there is the staff —- friendly, helpful people who really know what they’re talking about. I can’t fault them.
Excellent selection of clothing and equipment, focusing primarily on high-quality branded names. Noticed that they now stock Cragghopper too, which whilst robust is not as refined as Rab or Arc'teryx for example. Most of their stock is highly expensive, so not ideal if you're on a budget. Friendly and knowledgeable staff
